AI4kids is a pioneering educational institution located in BucureÈ™ti, România, providing AI courses specifically designed for children.
Our mission is to foster a deep understanding and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence among young learners. We accomplish this through a unique, immersive learning experience that integrates real-world applications and hands-on projects, supported by teachers which are industry professionals.
We foster kids curiosity on AI, we give them the fundamentals and we grow the seeds for them to develop a keen interest in the subject and become creators using AI technology as a toolkit.
Our Story
We started AI4kids with a big dream -on that provides the children in Romania with the right introduction to AI. We are industry professionals, we are teachers, but we are also parents. We searched a lot and could not find AI courses meant to give our children the right structure, the clear understanding of ethics, responsibility and bias in AI and the pleasure of discovering how easy it is to work with it once you get the current limitations.
So we've learned from the best and understood that we had to do it.
Further on, we did not want this to be just a module our children will like, but quickly abandon. Also, for children who are not into programming, courses needed to be engaging enough to keep them learning. Math, statistics and logics go extraordinary with AI, if you know how to do it.
Then, we learned about MIT Global AI virtual hackathon hosted by MIT RAISE and the App Inventor Foundation that encourages people of all ages around the world to build AI apps for a cause and we wanted that children who attend our classes to join this challenge. We want them to come with innovative ideas, to design a solution and to create it with technology. And we'll be there with them, side by side.
